Hexagram 61 Zhong Fu (Inner Truth, ䷼): Wind over Lake—Trust That Reaches Even Fish and Pigs
In the sixty-four hexagrams, Zhong Fu (inner truth, ䷼) is the sixty-first. The image is Xun below, Dui above—wind over the lake. The judgment: “Zhong Fu—fish and pigs are auspicious. Favorable to cross the great stream. Favorable to be steadfast.” This is one of the Yi Jing’s strongest statements about sincerity: when trust runs so deep that even the dullest pig and the most elusive fish respond, great undertakings and dangerous crossings can succeed.
